I have been to this store many times and always had a good experience. The Saturday morning demos are great. Like Woodcraft, they tend to focus on a few brands but they have satisfied 90% of my needs. If you want a wide variety of exotic wood you need to visit Owl Hardwood (the Des Plaines store is the mother ship) or some other specialty store. Rocker is a tool and woodworking supply store primarily.

The staff there, including the manager Mark, are always extremely helpful. I needed a plunge router base for my Porter Cable 690 router and even though they don’t carry it they helped me find it on Amazon. I am setting up my workshop for my retirement hobby and have purchased a number of pieces of equipment there. They gave me good advice and I am very happy with my purchases.
